Yoga is for everyone! There will always be an exercise for each body and its limitations. Finding these differences and figuring out what kind of posture is best for each student is a challenge! My goal as a teacher is not only to encourage the student to apply the knowledge acquired in class into their routines, but also to guide the students to the understanding that they will only benefit from the practice when it becomes routine. Yoga allows us to experience a different rhythm from our daily lives. For many it can be too slow, for others the practice of asanas and meditation can be a challenge. But, if the practitioner is receptive to the Yoga experience, at the end of the class he/she/they should feel more relaxed and energized, with a calmer mind and a lighter body.

Recently, I started to dedicate myself to the practice of mantras (Kirtans) which are the sacred chants of Yoga in Sanskrit. The vocalization of these traditional songs is:

“Capable of activating, energizing, calming and purifying the practitioner’s body, mind and spirit, in addition to improving the voice, breathing, sleep, memory and concentration”.

Among my masters are Rosana Ortega, Edgardo Caramella, Marcos Rojo and Ester Massola.
My greatest inspirations, Swami Sivananda and Swami Vishnudevananda.

I met Cintya when I was taking a theater course in São Paulo, she taught us body classes. In classes she worked with a mixture of strength, breathing and yoga, that’s when I started to become interested in the practice. Whenever I talk to Cintya I say that it was she who opened the doors of yoga for me, she says no, that I allowed yoga in mine. Maybe, but I recognize that when I gave up, she always with a lot of patience and delicacy brought me back. Yoga changed my life, from the practices I became much more aware of my body and my breathing, I have learned, every day, to calm my mind. I wasn’t able to find the attraction for YOGA before I met Cintya. I am so glad that I can do YOGA at least twice a week with her! As a skilled instructor, Cintya is caring and adjusts every posture, and helps everyone find their own abilities in each movement / posture. She always remind us that it is important to feel every part of your body and connect it with breathing and mind. With her help, I am able to see the harmony, the unity. It is worth mentioning that her soft voice helps me immerse myself as well.
